Tennessee Boys State: a website that changes with the program’s season
About 425 rising seniors, six days at Tennessee Tech, and a site that has to serve recruiting, registration, and alumni at different times of year. We’re redesigning it.

Where this stands
In design. Homepage concepts are built from research and client calls, and the new site is not live yet.
The site’s job changes with the season. In the fall, its audience is schools and parents. In spring, it’s registration. In May, it’s the week itself.
Discovery
We started by pulling the existing site’s content and running client calls, so every concept is built on what the program actually is.
Key Takeaway
Some sites don’t need more pages. They need a homepage that knows what time of year it is.
What We Built
Several homepage concepts, built on one shared design brief, so the client can compare real directions rather than mockups.
A content structure that brings the right message to the front as the program year moves along.
Looking Forward
Next up:
- Choosing a concept direction with the client
- Building out the full site
- Launching ahead of the next program year
We’ll share more when it launches.
